Johannes Gretz

Born in 1962 in former Soviet Union. As son of a German familiy he heard and sang numerous German traditional songs. Of course the accordion was the instrument he wanted to learn. After he immigrated to Germany he studied accordion at the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen (1984 – 1988). He his accordionist in the folk ensemble “Saitenwind” (bavarian and more). For some time he concentrates on the styrian harmonika as well.

He participated in numerous ensembles with various musical styles:

Klezmer – the quartet “Sing your Soul”

Brasilian Forro – “Banda da Terra”

Salon music – “Salut d’Amour”

But his heart is currently beating for the “Styrian Harmonika”.
