Hermann Illenberger

Born 1955 in Ulm/Donau; first accordion and piano lessons at the age of 5 under Hans Heinbuch; 1969 piano under Prof. Werner Wichmann and accordion under Sieglinde Schlegel and Fritz Pilsl; in 1975 after school he began to study musicology at the University of Tübingen; 1976 change to Trossingen to the music school (today Hohner Conservatory); lessons under Hans Rauch, Karl Perenthaler, Hubert Deuringer, Werner Niehues, Ly Braun, Fritz Dobler and others; 1979 final examination; then working as an employee at the company Matth. Hohner AG Trossingen – responsible for marketing and

development; numerous concerts and performances in specialised music shops within Germany and Europe with accordion and electronic instruments; compositions and arrangement for accordion (orchestra, solo, duo) and electronic organ for publishers Hohner, Wild and Schott; 1987 first price at the composition competition for accordion orchestra with “Drei Epigramme” organised by ABC-Edition; working as a juror for the German Accordion Association; from 1984 music teacher at the music school in Neu-Ulm; since 1986 music teacher for accordion, keybaord and orchestra at the music school in Heidelberg; since 1994 additionally lecturer at the Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg; keyboard player, accordionist and arranger in numerous bands and studios;
