Emina Berbi?
Emina Berbi? was born in 1991 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2014 she completed her bachelor's degree at the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo in accordion in the class of Danijela Gazdi?, Assoc. Prof. In 2016 she obtained her master's degree in accordion with the defense of her thesis "N. Re?menski: Concerto for accordion and orchestra". In 2020 she also completed her studies in music theory and pedagogy.
During her studies, she participated in student exchanges and spent the winter semester of the third year at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture in Russia, where she studied under Prof. Zoja Andreevna Cukanova.
Since 2015, Emina Berbi? has been working as a teacher and has led her students to over 50 awards at national and international competitions (Serbia, Montenegro, Germany, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Her work with the accordion orchestra of the Zenica Music School is particularly noteworthy, which under her leadership received significant awards at international festivals such as the Akordeon Art Festival in East Sarajevo and the Harmonika Fest in Tivat, Montenegro.
In 2021 and 2022, her student Ivan Boni? represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup for Accordion (Germany and Switzerland), achieving sixth place in the Junior category and fourth place in the Masters category the following year.
She is an active member of the ensemble "Fugato", which is dedicated to performing medieval music from Spain, Italy and France, which the ensemble has also recorded on CD. The ensemble also promotes Bosnian cultural heritage through compositions based on medieval Bosnian texts.
