Born in 1973 in Jülich; first guitar classes at the age of 11; starting with private lessons afterwards lessons at the Folkwang music school in Essen under Renate Mark; 1994 musical preparations for his future studies under Evert Brettschneider and Uwe Hein; Participating the guitar orchestra, the guitar quartet of the music school as well as various master classes under Juri Clormann, Hubert Käppel, Eliot Fisk and Pablo Marquez completed his musical education. 1996 qualification to attend the guitar class under Prof. Franz Hálasz at the Leopold Mozart Konservatorium in Augsburg where he passed the state examinations in the year 2000; additionally he took classes in oboe; he gained experiences as music teacher in numerous music schools in the region of Augsburg, as well in Freising and Ulm; he started with guitar arrangements of original works by Bach, Corelli und Lutowslaski; chamber music project with harpsichord and singing deepened his knowledge for guitar arrangements; additional guitar studies at the Hochschule für Musik Augsburg under Prof. Franz Hálasz where he received his diploma in instrumental pedagogy in 2001; for the diploma he worked on the topic “The emergence of classical guitar classes back to Mozart’s time in Western Europe”; Bela Harms is working as a guitar teacher in the region Augsburg/Munich; since 2003 he is additionally working as an editor for music sheets;
