The CARIBBEAN SUITE by Wolfgang Ruß is the orchestral version of the piece of the same name from the solo band "Akkordeon ist cool Bd.2".
The three sets "Calypso", "Beguine" and "Salsa" are easy-medium in difficulty. The instrumentation is limited to accordion 1, 2, 3, bass and small percussion. The 3rd voice and the bass are printed on one sheet as a playing score, and can therefore only be taken over by an accordion. The piece can therefore already be played with three accordions (e.g. two students and an advanced player or the teacher).
This rhythmically emphasized suite is a good introduction to Latin American music and inspires youth orchestras and adults alike. The playing time is about 5 min.
