A really wonderful piece. The composer was able to find the balance between entertainment und quality. The fantasy begins with a Ragtime theme that turns into a Fugato in the middle (very classical manner) and turns back to Ragtime. Changes in tempo, high degree of dynamics, work in sound, exercises in technics ... everything that someone expects from a highly challenging piece is covered.
Perfectly qualified for orchestras in the advanced level and for assessments.
